Need help? Email support@steady-watch.com with your iPhone (and Apple Watch) model and what happened. We usually answer within two business days.
Getting started
- Every key has a guide. Tap ? on the panel for what each mode and key does.
- TRACK plays along with your music: tap TRACKS to import audio files from the Files app. Each one is analysed on your iPhone for its key, chords, tempo and bars.
- REC records a take after a one-bar count-in on the beat. It becomes a track you can loop, slow down and transpose.
- NOTE, CHORDS and SPECTRUM listen through the microphone. TEMPO is a metronome on atomic time.
Apple Watch
- Install the Watch app from the Watch app on your iPhone (My Watch, then STEADYWATCH™).
- Swipe between TUNER, TEMPO, and the remote's PLAY, LOOP and REC pages. The remote needs the iPhone app open.
- Tempo, bar length and tuning settings stay in step between the two automatically.
Playing in time with someone else
In NOTE, CHORDS, TEMPO or SPECTRUM, tap SYNC to show a session QR code. Scanning it on another device gives both the same tempo, bar and chord pairing, with beats on the same atomic-time grid.
Troubleshooting
- The tuner shows nothing: allow the microphone in Settings, then STEADYWATCH™.
- A file won't import: make sure it's an audio file stored on the device or in iCloud Drive (not a protected Apple Music download).
- The Watch remote says to open the iPhone app: open STEADYWATCH™ on the iPhone and keep it in the foreground.
Privacy
STEADYWATCH™ collects no data. See the privacy policy.
